Within the confines of my mind
Reverberating through my body
Its electricity confined
Thunder screams
All nerves express their pain
The vibration of its echoes
Usher in the rain
Water gushes
In cascades of raging confusion
Or trickles of soft torment
A channel to seclusion
Storms rage on
Amassing hopes and fears
Silent destructive ravagers
Lasting moments or years
Realization wafts
As temperatures begin to warm
That we are each the captains
