Alive

The hole in my heart is now full
No longer do I feel the fool.
Gone are the days of complete isolation
When my heart had no beat, my touch no sensation.
There was no happiness to quench my thirst
But now in my life, laughter comes first.
The one with the wings has taught me to fly
My heart skipped a beat, but now I’m alive.
I live for the moments of laughter and talk
Telling my heartsong with no fear or lock.
Learning to believe in the one that is here.
Learning to trust and overcome the fear.
But the hardest and most difficult of all
Is trusting that she will catch me if I fall.
